The James Joseph Ford Foundation is a 501(c) nonprofit organization. It was established in July 2003 and has given away over $240,000 since.

While our initial work focused on granting money to worthy organizations providing services and opportunities to needy youth in our community, our goals had always included introducing unique programming directed toward lifting underprivileged children above their circumstances, championing children toward their goals, and providing an example of generosity and responsibility. In 2011, we began the Every Generation Gives (aka, EGG) project to that end.

With EGG, the Foundation has partnered with the fifth grade class of Cyril Wengert Elementary School in Las Vegas to grant money to local non-profits. The fifth graders all meet “experts” on causes and needs in their community, they form their own groups and make presentations to their peers on their cause, and they vote to gift of $5,000 to the selected organizations. To date students have granted $38,000 to local causes.
